# Installing Docker - Windows

Please download the Windows Docker Desktop software from the following link:

Please be aware that the Docker Desktop software requires virtualisation support.

For AWS, please ensure to use a METAL instance type, as these specifically allow virtualisation support.

Windows 10 or Windows Server 2019, or later, is recommended for use of the Docker Desktop software.
